Checking our own claims

This website is small on purpose. It says who makes the games at Ikan Bilis Studio, what each game is and how far along it is, and it holds the privacy and support pages. It comes in English and Traditional Chinese.

Making it taught us two things.

A website can get ahead of its game. Before a claim went on the site as a fact, we checked it against the game's own files. Several lines changed. One example: house rules aren't player settings in the game yet, so the site doesn't say they are. A sentence that sounds right and a sentence that is true can be two different sentences, and the way to tell them apart was to go and look.

Saying "we collect nothing" means building it that way. The site loads nothing from outside and sets no cookies. There's no visitor counter either, so we can't tell you how many people have read this post. We're fine with that.

Every page is also checked by keyboard and at large text, in both languages.

Some things aren't here yet. There are no real screenshots of the game on the site; they arrive with the game's next export. No playtest with real players has happened; one is planned.

Note added on 1 October 2026: the paragraph above is out of date. The game's screenshots are now on its page, and Voxel Mahjong has had a first playtest with real players.
